Come celebrate Big Scrub Rainforest Day with Aunty Delta Kay.

Where: Bangalow Weir Parklands (Deacon St, Bangalow)

During this 1.5hr guided tour, guests will learn about the once Big Scrub from an Indigenous perspective, including the special connection Delta's family has with the rainforest and about their traditional ways of managing the health of Country. 

The tour includes a short 200m walk along the stuinning Byron Creek. During this time, Delta will point out a variety of edible bush tucker plants, as well as plants used for natural medicine, jewellery, fibre, tools and weapons. She speaks about local indigenous history and shares traditional stories that have been passed down to her from her ancestors.

At the end of this tour, guests enjoy tasting a variety of delicious bush tucker foods and have nice cup of bush tea and a biscuit. There will also be some Bundjalung bush food products avaliable for purchase on the day.
